I arrived at the week at little hesitant, not knowing anyone from other organizations, or my own. I was one of the few International people in attendance, and wondered how much of a global feel the program would have. I need not have worried, as after the first evening I felt that I had already built a network of friends who I was looking forward to working with over the following 2 weeks, and had also met women from International operations in other organizations.

To be able to take a look at how I perform as a leader and particularly as an influencer in a different environment was very enlightening. Now, even after a year, I find myself stopping and trying to put into practice some of the messages I took away.

The biggest "take away" for me was the networking. The group who attended with me from Chubb still has quarterly calls where we update each other on our progress and challenges we face. I have also met up with women from other organizations in Australia, and quite literally bumped into a colleague from my program on an airplane flying from Zurich to London- a very small world!
