Govindarajan

Vijay Govindarajan, Ph.D., is the Earl C. Daum 1924 Professor of International Business and Director of the William F. Achtmeyer Center for Global Leadership at the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College. He is also the Faculty Director for the Tuck Global Leadership 2020 Program. Professor Govindarajan's area of expertise is strategy, with particular emphasis on strategic innovation, industry transformation, and global strategy and organization. Professional credits include: Outstanding Faculty, named by Business Week in its "Guide to Best B-Schools"; Top Ten Business School Professor in Corporate Executive Education, named by Business Week; and Outstanding Teacher of the Year, voted by MBA students. Professor Govindarajan received both his MBA and his doctorate from the Harvard Business School and was awarded the Robert Bowne Prize for the best thesis proposal.

hevert

Kathleen Hevert, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor of Finance at Babson College, where she designs and delivers academic programs for graduate students and executive education clients. In addition, she is the faculty director for the Masters of Science in Management program currently delivered for Lucent Technologies. She specializes in long-term strategic capital investment decisions, including mergers and acquisitions. She has a particular interest in the application of option pricing models to real-asset acquisition decisions. Her research has been published in Financial Management, The Journal of Portfolio Management, The Journal of Applied Corporate Finance, and others. She received her Ph.D. from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill.

johnston

Frances Johnston, Ph.D., is the co-founder of the Teleos Leadership Institute which provides consulting services in both the private and public sectors with a vision to encourage and develop values-based leadership that supports the creation of resonant, inspiring organizations to work in.  Fran works internationally with senior executives as an advisor, focusing on the intersection of leadership and strategy. She creates effective processes and structures for continual growth and ongoing development for key leaders and their teams. She has designed and implemented advanced facilitation programs throughout North America, Turkey, Italy, Africa, The Caribbean and Cambodia. One of Fran's areas of expertise is innovative design and execution of workshops as well as long-term programs and retreats that support leadership development, transformation and organizational renewal. Fran also serves on the faculty of the Gestalt Institute of Cleveland and teaches at the Wharton School's Aresty Institute of Executive Education.

Low Dog

Tieraona Low Dog, M.D., has an extensive career in studying natural medicine which began more than twenty-five years ago. She studied midwifery, massage therapy, and was a highly respected herbalist, serving as President of the American Herbalist Guild prior earning her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of New Mexico School of Medicine. Tieraona opened and ran a successful integrative medical clinic in Albuquerque, NM before moving to Tucson, AZ where she is the Director of the Fellowship in Integrative Medicine at the Arizona Center for Integrative Medicine at the University of Arizona School of Medicine. In addition to her work as a clinician and educator, Dr. Low Dog has been involved in national health policy and regulatory issues for more than a decade. She was appointed by President Bill Clinton in 2000, to serve on the White House Commission on Complementary and Alternative Medicine. She served three years on the Advisory Council for the National Institutes of Health National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM). She is the Elected Chair of the United States Pharmacopeia Dietary Supplements and Botanicals Expert Committee since 2000. She currently serves on the editorial/advisory boards of Menopause and Explore journals, Prevention magazine and the American Botanical Council. Some of her many honors of distinction are: Time magazine's "Innovator in Complementary and Alternative Medicine" (2001). The "Martina de la Cruz meda" for her work with indigenous medicines (1998). NPR's "The People's Pharmacy" award (2007). The "Burt Kallman Scientific Award" (2007). Dr. Low Dog is an internationally known speaker on topics ranging from the responsible use of herbal medicine and dietary supplements to integrative approaches to women's health.  She has more than 30 publications to her credit.

Charmaine McClarie is the founder and president of McClarie Group and an internationally known expert in the fields of leadership, communication and personal branding. McClarie has helped CEOs communicate the big picture about themselves and their organizations. nelson

Katherine Nelson, is currently on the faculty of the Fox School of Business and Management, Temple University, where she teaches business ethics and management. Kate enjoyed a thirty-year career in business before transitioning to academia. She was a principal and communications practice leader for Mercer Human Resources Consulting in Philadelphia, where she managed a 19-person team of consultants delivering services to Mercer's clients in southeastern Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and upstate New York. Earlier, she was vice president and head of worldwide HR communication at Citicorp in New York and has held similar positions at Merrill Lynch and at Honeywell. The ethics game she created at Citicorp, The Work Ethic, was awarded the Gold Quill of Excellence by the International Association of Business Communicators. The Work Ethic and similar games she developed have been used in numerous business schools including Harvard, Wharton, Columbia, Oxford, and INSEAD; and by numerous organizations including NASA, General Electric, and J.P. Morgan. Kate received her B.A. from the College of Mount St. Vincent in New York City and will receive her M.S. in human resources management from Temple University. She is co-author, with Linda Klebe Trevino, of Managing Business Ethics.

Roger Nierenberg, Conductor, serves as Music Director for the Stamford Symphony Orchestra in Connecticut. He performs at many of the world's most prestigious festivals and is also the creator of The Music Paradigm. Maestro Nierenberg has led presentations for many organizations throughout the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand, with many of the world's greatest orchestras.

John Thomas, M.B.A., has participated in the design, delivery and management of simulations for over 20 years. At Executive Perspectives he is responsible for creating Best Experiences using numerous computer-based classroom simulations for the executive education community and the manufacturing and services industries. His areas of expertise include business strategy, enhancing leadership skills, creating service excellence, improving employee talent, practicing strategic leadership, building financial acumen, and developing a customer/market focus. His primary focus is in helping managers/leaders improve their businesses and themselves as a result of learning by doing through business simulations and related company-focused discussions and exercises. He received his MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.

Irma Tyler-Wood, J.D., is the Managing Principal and a founding member of KiThoughtBridge. Prior to her work at ThoughtBridge, she practiced corporate law in Washington, D.C., and had careers in education and government. While at Harvard Law School, she worked as a negotiation Teaching Fellow with Roger Fisher and served as the Assistant Director of the Conflict Clinic at the Harvard Negotiation Project. At KiThoughtBridge, Ms. Tyler-Wood consults nationally and internationally with corporate, government, and other public sector clients in resolving complex, high stakes disputes. She has advised and trained corporate and government clients to enable them to implement major change initiatives, resolve complex multi-party disputes, and create, enhance, and/or repair strategic business relationships.

Brian Uzzi, Ph.D., is a professor of sociology and of industrial engineering and management science at the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. He teaches courses on leadership, persuasion, and change management and has won seven teaching awards, including teacher of the year three times. Brian is also the L. Thomas Chair in Leadership at Northwestern as well as the Co-Director of the Northwestern Institute on Complex Systems. His award winning and highly cited research uses social network analysis and complexity theory to model creativity and innovation, contagion, and outstanding human achievement. Brian speaks at conferences and advises major companies worldwide on building better networks, collaboration, innovation, leadership, and selling new ideas.
