Pamela Thompson holds a B.A. in women's studies, with a concentration in literature, from Yale College, and an M.F.A. in creative writing from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She is the author of Every Past Thing, a novel inspired by Edwin Romanzo Elmer, painter of the Smith Art Museum's Mourning Picture.
Thompson was a MacDowell Colony fellow and is co-founder of Clockroot Books, which publishes innovative literature from around the world.
At Smith, Thompson teaches ENG 120 Reading and Writing Short Stories.
