Samuel Scheer is a high school teacher in Windsor, CT and the author (with Rosetta Cohen) of two books on education and teaching, The Work of Teachers in America: A Social History Through Stories and Teacher–Centered Schools: Reimagining Educational Reform in the 21st Century. In addition to teaching, he has been working for the Gates Foundation and more recently the NMSI, the National Science and Math Initiative. The focus of his work has been on urban education and school reform.
Scheer holds a B.A. from Bennington College and an M.Phil. from Oxford University.
