William Oram earned B.A. degrees from Yale and Merton College, Oxford; and a Ph.D. in English from Yale University. He writes mostly about Spenser and other Renaissance poets, and he teaches courses in Shakespeare, Spenser, 16th-century literature, pastoral, science fiction and the teaching of literature.
Professor Oram is the author of The Yale Edition of the Shorter Poems of Edmund Spenser (1989) and Edmund Spenser (1997).
