Naomi Miller

Naomi Miller is Professor of English and Women's Studies and Director of Institutional Diversity and Assistant to the President. She received her A.B. from Princeton and her A.M. and Ph.D. from Harvard. In addition to academic articles for The Chronicle of Higher Education and scholarly journal articles, she has published: Reading Mary Wroth (1991), Changing the Subject: Mary Wroth and Figurations of Gender in Early Modern England (1997), Maternal Measures: Caregiving in the Early Modern Period (2000), and Reimagining Shakespeare for Children and Young Adults (2002). A book on Sibling Relations in the Early Modern Period is coming out in 2005, and she is currently at work on a novel that adapts Shakespeare's The Tempest for young adult audiences. Her teaching interests include Shakespeare, women in the Renaissance, lyric poetry of all periods, and children's literature.
