Floyd Cheung

Floyd Cheung received his B.A. from Whittier College and his M.A. and Ph.D. from Tulane University. He teaches courses in American literature and American Studies.  He specializes in Asian American literature and culture.   His recent publications include a new edition of H.T. Tsiang's 1937 proletarian novel,  And China Has Hands, and articles in The Asian Pacific American Journal, The Explicator, and TDR: The Journal of Performance Studies.  With Keith Lawrence, he co-edited and contributed a chapter to Recovered Legacies: Authority and Identity in Early Asian American Literature (Temple University Press, 2005). Supported during 2002-2003 by a Woodrow Wilson Foundation postdoctoral fellowship, Mr. Cheung has begun a new project on Asian American autobiographical writing.
