ENG 295 Advanced Poetry Writing

Taught by the Grace Hazard Conkling Poet in Residence, this is an advanced poetry workshop for students who have developed a passionate relationship with poetry and who have substantial experience in writing poems. Texts will include a range of examples of contemporary and traditional poetry through which to explore questions of craft. Students will expand their expertise in reading, writing, critiquing, and revising poems.
If you are interested in this course, please submit five poems and a letter describing your poetry background and what you will bring to the course.
