ENG 296 Advanced Fiction Writing
Anthony Giardina, Th 7:30 PM-9:30 PM
In this course we will work on workshopping short stories. Each student will present three short stories to the class, with a concentration on the use of voice in fiction. A major concentration will be on how to workshop: the use of critical language in workshop, how to glean what is useful in criticism and what is not.
Required: one fiction writing sample of 5-10 pages to be considered for this course.
Please send your work to the English department assistant, Jennifer Roberts at jroberts@smith.edu or by mail to Pierce Hall 105 no later than 4:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2013.
