Masters student, Delft University of Technology
I chose to study at Smith to get a liberal arts engineering experience within a diverse student body.
One of my most memorable experiences during my four years in the Picker Engineering Program was the opportunity to spend a summer in Torino, Italy working on a student project called the Vehicle Design Summit. I worked with an international team of students to design and build a prototype hybrid vehicle with ambitious life cycle cost and fuel efficiency goals.
During my studies, I minored in Middle Eastern studies, which lead me to a Fulbright Fellowship in Kuwait following my four years at Smith.
I am now earning a master's degree in sustainable process and energy technology at Delft University of Technology, in the Netherlands. My experience working in diverse teams of students both prepared me and inspired me to pursue a degree abroad.
