“Engineering and Education Partnership: A Learner-Centered Approach toward Quantitative Excellence”
This grant focuses on developing learner-centered approaches for teaching engineering that engage a diverse group of students. The grant supports course development in the Picker Engineering Program, the Summer Science and Engineering Program (SSEP),and the Smith College Summer Institute for Educators.


FORD MOTOR COMPANY FUND

“Project for Engineering Education Excellence”
One-third of the funding from the Ford Motor Company for Smith's Picker Engineering programmatic needs and building is allocated to engineering education. The grant also provides funding for equipment, scholarships, curriculum development, and start-up costs for new faculty members.

LLL FOUNDATION
“Smith College: Engineering the Future— Developing a K–6 Engineering Learning Laboratory”
This grant supports creation of an engineering education classroom at the Campus School—Smith’s laboratory school for elementary education.


NATIONAL SCIENCE FOUNDATION
, BRIDGES FOR ENGINEERING EDUCATION PROGRAM
“Building an Engineering and Education Partnership”
This grant supports development of an engineering education program leading to technology/engineering certification. It also enhances other education initiatives in the Picker Engineering Program and SSEP.


HEWLETT-PACKARD

"Project to develop and disseminate Engineering Education for K-16"
This grant supports K-6 engineering outreach efforts, including creation of an engineering education classroom at the Campus School - Smith's laboratory school for elementary education.
