College supervisors are experienced master teachers who mentor student teachers and help them reflect deeply on their developing practice. Supervisors regularly visit student teachers in their classrooms, observe their teaching and give them thoughtful feedback. They also facilitate three-way meetings between the student teachers, the cooperating teachers and themselves.
Supervisors are liaisons between the local schools and the college, and they help student teachers develop their teaching portfolios. Our supervisors work to develop strong relationships with the student teachers and are there to offer advice and support, as the student teachers engage in their practicum experiences.
