Robert Buchele earned a B.S. in engineering from the University of California, Los Angeles; an M.S. in management from MIT; and a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University.
Buchele's teaching fields include labor economics, industrial relations, statistics and econometrics. His primary research areas are comparative industrial relations and economic performance in the major industrialized countries; and the "Shared Capitalism Research Project," which comprises case studies of the effect of employee ownership on pension wealth and employee involvement and participation.
