COURSE CRITIQUES

Course Critiques are required and are administered by the Office of the Dean of the College.  (They are not to be confused with Aspects, administered by the SGA.)

All Smith students are required to complete Course Critiques for classes taken at Smith in both the fall and spring semesters.  Students studying elsewhere, including Junior Year Abroad programs, are not required to complete Course Critiques.

By vote of the Student Government Association, students who fail to complete the critiques will be fined $25.

Information gleaned from these critiques contributes to the decisions made about tenure and promotion of Smith faculty.

Critiques are done on BannerWeb during the last two full weeks of classes each semester.

A memo with details of how to complete course critiques will be sent to all Smith students via email the week of April 7, 2008.

Read the memo that was sent to students.
