Food Service Background: I started at Jim Dandy Chicken in Northampton and had so much fun there I moved on to the Northampton Hilton and waited tables there for many years. Ready for a change, I moved to Stowe, VT and worked as a Kitchen Assistant for 2 ski seasons. Lack of snow and cash convinced me to come home again. I then worked at the Whately Inn for 5 years and managed Bub's BBQ for a summer. My last tour of duty was the Delaney House in Holyoke.

Favorite meal to prepare for Smith students: It's not taco night or nacho night!

What is the best part of your job: All the laughs I have floating from kitchen to kitchen, and summers off!

What is the hardest part of your job: The wear and tear on my body

Funniest Smith memory: There are so many its hard to pick, but how about this one. I tripped while carrying a rack of votive candle holders that had just come out of the dish machine and were very hot! The wax covered my pants and I developed a very funny walk that I like to call the "stiff pants" walk.

What 2 items do you always have in your refrigerator: Pete's Heat Hot Sauce and butter

Hobbies: Hiking, kayaking, reading, eating out and gardening

Favorite vacation destination: Family cabin in Grand Lake Stream, ME

Favorite restaurant: This month it's the Sierra Grille in Northampton

Musical interests: I like all music, but my husband's band "Invasion," as in the British invasion, is a favorite of mine. Did I mention they are available for all your party needs?

Little known fact: I proposed to my husband, Bill!

Your guests for a perfect dinner: My husband, Bill, for a romantic dinner. I also have a group of dear girlfriends, Deb, Barb, Sherry and Dee Dee, who, of course, would love to be mentioned here in print, and who are fun dinner companions as well.
