Years of service at Smith: 22 years!

Birthplace: Northampton, MA

Pets: Cleo, my border collie

Educational background: I went to school in Hatfield, MA up to Junior High School. I then transferred to Smith Vocational HS where I studied Culinary Arts.

Food Service Background: While I was studying Culinary Arts at Smith Voc, I worked my way up to cook at Wiggins Tavern at the Hotel Northampton. I continued there for one more year after graduating, and then came to Smith College as a cook.

Favorite meal to prepare for Smith students: I love to fix what the students like. Two of our favorites are Chicken Piccata and Chicken Fajitas.

What is the best part of your job: Working with the staff at Hubbard! We work hard, but have fun doing it.

What is the hardest part of your job: Getting the right balance in ordering food for Hubbard. You want just enough without over producing, and sometimes the student counts can surprise you.

Funniest Smith memory: The time I forgot to put the chicken in the oven for a Senior Dinner and was in a panic. My dining room coordinator, Theresa, bailed me out by slowing down the service and saying we were having trouble with our ovens.

What 2 items do you always have in your refrigerator: I always have Mayonnaise and Ranch Dressing.

Hobbies: I practice Magic which I do for fun, as well as for a part time job

Favorite vacation destination: LAS VEGAS!

Favorite restaurant: Bill’s Seafood in Westbrook, CT.

Musical interests: It varies, but I particularly like Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Celine Dion, Josh Groban and Elvis Presley.?

Little known fact: I impersonate Elvis Presley, costume and all, as well as some others celebrities, and my fellow co-workers.

Your guests for a perfect dinner: I would invite my family and friends for a turkey dinner with all the fixings.
