It will be 20 years on March 10th.

My husband of 38 years, Barry, and 3 children - Barry, Timmy and Missy.

Two tiger cats - DJ, named after the Daily Jolt where I saw him for adoption and fell in love with him, and Ruby, a teacup size kitten who is a new playmate for DJ.
Educational background
I graduated from Holyoke High School and attended Westfield State College.
Food service background
I embarked on my culinary career by helping to open the first Jim Dandy Restaurant in Massachusetts and left after the birth of my 2nd son. After my 3 children were in school I went to work for the school lunch program at Easthampton High School as the hours and vacation times coincided with my children’s school schedule. During the summer months I worked for a caterer, Joe Boccaccio, who taught me the art of fine cuisine and garnishing, in the process I helped him open his own restaurant. I eventually became the manager of the school lunch program at White Brook Middle School.
Favorite meal to prepare for Smith students
Indian nights at Comstock/Wilder, students really love the food and I love a crowd.
What is the best part of your job
The students enjoying the food I have prepared and their feedback, particularly when they come back as Alums. I love the staff that I have worked with here in Dining Services. Also, when I was Senior Cook at Haven I was awarded the Gavel Award on Rally Day which was a great honor for me.
What is the hardest part of your job
Putting the challenging components of the Asian cuisine together and having it all ready by service time.
Funniest Smith memories
When I was Senior Cook at Haven house, they had an annual beach party and the students brought in a kiddy pool which they filled with water in the dining room. Another fond memory was when I was cautioned for spending too much time on the phone and the Cook at Hopkins house and I set up 2 tin cans and a string between Haven and Hopkins kitchens to talk.

A Caribbean cruise. I also enjoy going to my summer getaway in Bozrah, CT where I can relax and sit on my deck watching the lake.
Favorite restaurant
Zoe’s in Easthampton.
Musical interests
