As
a student on the board plan, you receive eight guest meal credits on your OneCard
for the 2012 academic year (expire May 13, 2012). You are responsible for using your meal credit or paying the guest
meal price for your guests. Guests are any persons who are not officially board paying
students, including:
You are required to follow the Honor Code and
seek out the dining staff member if you have a guest and give your ticket and/or
pay the guest meal price.
Guest meal prices
Smith Students: In support of Five College academic opportunities, a dining meal exchange is available
for students enrolled in a meal plan at their home institution: Amherst, Mount
Holyoke, Hampshire and Smith colleges and the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Requests for participation in the meal exchange will be granted for academic reasons only. Other meal exchange requests, for which there is a compelling reason, will be reviewed on an individual basis.
Students must follow the guidelines at their own dining institution and are required to provide the required documentation of the Five College academic course that they are enrolled in. To utilize
the meal exchange or obtain further information, Smith students may contact the Dining
Service Office, ext. 2300 or e-mail eherring@smith.edu.
Smith students may sign up for meals via e-mail by sending Erika Herring the following
information:
You will be contacted via e-mail once you have been approved. The host institution will receive your approval electronically.
Five College Students dining at Smith: After you complete the dining information at your own institution, Smith College will receive the information electronically. You must go to the Smith College Onecard Office, Stoddard Hall 24C, (check out their website: www.smith.edu/its/onecard/index.html, for drop in hours or call ahead (413-585-3082) and you will be issued a Onecard that must be used to access the dining rooms and for approved meals. Non-Smith students may dine at Lamont, Chase/Duckett, Tyler, Gillett (vegan) or Chapin.
Smith College students who DO NOT LIVE in college residential housing and are not required to be on the board plan may sign up for the Off Campus Meal Plan. This plan provides for meals on a casual basis. The minimum number of meals that you may sign up for is FIVE, and they can be used anytime during the academic year.
