ALUMNAE HOUSE EVENTS

To obtain information regarding availability, room charge, booking policies or to reserve space, contact Jonelle Dennis at jdennis@smith.edu.

Request for use of the Alumnae House must be submitted in writing.

No request will be accepted via telephone.

Events held after normal business hours require a receptionist at $8 per hour.

If you are planning on serving any food or beverages:

Contact Catering at extension 2304. Smith College Catering is not always able to cater all events at the Alumnae House but will assist you with planning any event.

An off-campus caterer can be hired but must be on an approved list, carry the appropriate insurance and follow all house procedures.

If you employ an outside caterer, we require that you have Dining Services staff present. The amount of staff depends on the size and nature of the function.

Events that are self catered may require the presence of Dining Services staff person depending on the size and the nature of the event.

Events held at the Alumnae House after normal business hours require a receptionist at $8.50 per hour during the academic year.

The charge for each Dining Services employee is $20 per hour. They will help your event to go smoothly and easily.

Only beverages and finger foods may be served in the living room.

Wine and champagne may be served to persons over the age of 21. Liquor and beer are prohibited.
