The Summer Seminars are designed for master-level social workers, therapists, counselors, and other human service professionals who wish to enhance their clinical skills.
The Summer Seminar curriculum includes many courses on a wide range of topics. There are three topical series, Evolving Theories for Clinical Practice; Children, Adolescents and Families; and Current Trends in Social Work, with each seminar presented by distinguished practitioners with notable expertise in their areas of presentation. Courses provide participants with opportunities to increase their knowledge and skills through a concentrated period of study.

The Smith College School for Social Work is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education. Courses offered through the School’s Program of Continuing education are awarded continuing education credits in accordance with Continuing Education Regulation 258, CMR, 31.00 in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The State of California has also approved the SSW Continuing Education Program as a CA Continuing Education Provider (Approval No. PCE 3212) If outside these states, please contact your licensing board for accreditation information regarding your state. |
