A LEADER IN THE EVOLUTION OF THE FIELD

The Center for Innovative Practice and Social Work Education was developed to support and advance the Smith College School for Social Work (SCSSW) as a leader in the continuing definition and evolution of social work's future with particular attention to vulnerable populations.

Through innovative training, research, and service demonstration projects, the Center will generate and disseminate new practice knowledge -- initially to influence professional education and ultimately to impact social policy and service delivery.

The Center has raised over one million in new resources through grants, income-generating programs, and contracts to support numerous initiatives.
