The provisions
of this Section do not apply to members of the Faculty
holding non-tenure track positions or to Lecturers.
- Definition:
The permanent instructional staff of the College
shall consist of all members of the Faculty having
tenure of office.
- Tenure of Office:
Faculty members having
tenure shall hold their
positions as long as they
fulfill their duties as
defined by the Faculty
Code and the Policy
of Appointment, Reappointment,
Promotion, and Tenure at
Smith College. Persons
who enjoy tenure of office
may be removed for cause
as hereinafter provided
in Section
VII.
