Powers. The faculty (subject to the control of the Trustees) shall have the power, and it shall be their duty, to fix the requirements of admission, the courses of study, and the conditions of graduation, to establish rules and methods for the conduct of the educational work of the College, for ascertaining the proficiency of students, and for determining the award of academic honors; to recommend candidates for degrees to the Trustees; and to make such general regulations for the well-being and government of the students as shall not contravene the articles of organization, these by-laws or any action of the Trustees.
