31		(a)		The Academic Freedom Committee shall consist of three members of the faculty, including one from each division, who serve staggered terms of three years. Members shall be ineligible for consecutive terms.
(b)				The Academic Freedom Committee shall meet as necessary, at the request of the Director of Institutional Diversity, to review formal complaints. The purpose of the review shall be to determine whether the speech or expression complained of is protected under the terms of the Statement on Academic Freedom and Freedom of Expression (Appendix A of this Code).
