The annual Spring Dance
Concert, under the direction of guest artist-in-residence Donna Mejia,
featured premieres of original works by five undergraduate choreographers:
Meleta Buckstaff ’09, Cyndal Ellis AC, Katie Green ’09, Julia
Hudson ’08, and Rita Iyer ’10. |

The 2008 MFA Dance Concert,
always a popular winter event, featured new works by four second-year graduate
students in dance. The concert, titled You/Me/Here/NOW, was held in Theatre
14, Mendenhall Center for the Performing Arts. |

The annual concert is known for introducing
fresh, original choreography from a spectrum of genres and styles by the
college’s dance faculty and visiting artists. Smith and the Mount
Holyoke Department of Dance teamed up to present George Balanchine's "Concerto
Barocco" and Mark Morris' "Canonic
3/4 Studies." |
