Thalia Pandiri, Professor of Classics and Comparative Literature, holds an A.B. from the City College of New York and an M.A. and Ph.D from Columbia University. She studied at the Free University of Berlin and is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome.

She has published critical work and translations in the areas of Ancient and Modern Greek literature, Medieval Latin, and modern drama.

She is editor in chief of the literary translation journal METAMORPHOSES.

Special interests include Translation Studies and maternal filicide.
