Scott Bradbury, Professor of Classical Languages and Literatures, studied Classics and History at Amherst College (B.A.) and Corpus Christi College, Oxford (B.A./M.A.). He holds a Ph.D. from the Group in Ancient History and Mediterranean Archaeology at the University of California, Berkeley. He has held fellowships from the Fulbright Scholars Program, the Woodrow Wilson Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities.

He teaches Greek and Latin at all levels, particularly prose authors, as well as Classical Mythology and Greek and Roman Religion.

His scholarly work focuses on Late Antiquity and includes two books: Severus of Minorca: Letter on the Conversion of the Jews (1996) and Selected Letters of Libanius from the Age of Constantius and Julian (2004). His current book project is called The Social World of Libanius.
