Maureen B. Ryan is a lecturer of Classics. She joined the department at Smith in 1995. She has a B.S. of Ed. in French, an M.A. in Latin, and a Ph.D. in Classics from The Ohio State University. Her teaching focuses on Latin Literature and Roman Civilization, and she has a special enthusiasm for the elementary language courses.

Her current project is a teaching edition of Ovid's Amores, book I.
