Classical Languages and Literatures Department | Smith College

The Caverno Room

The Caverno Room is the Classics study and seminar room, named for Julia Harwood Caverno, who taught in the department from 1893 to 1931. It contains a core collection of books, the department's Antiquities collection, a computer workstation and a seminar table.

Latin and Greek courses often meet here and the room is a popular study spot for Classics students.
