Erika Laquer is the First-Semester Juniors,
the Sophomore Class and Ada Comstock Scholars. She earned her
A.B. from Bryn Mawr College and is also a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania
where she obtained her M.A. and Ph.D. Dean Laquer teaches a First Year Seminar once
a year on the history and cross-cultural study of midwifery.
Dean Laquer has taught several times in France and in
the Dominican Republic. She enjoys quilting and belongs to a book club. Dean Laquer
is also a labor doula.

Margaret Bruzelius is Dean of the Second-Semester
Juniors and the Senior Class. She became a dean in 2000. Dean Bruzelius holds a
B.A. from Harvard, an A.A.S. in fashion design from Fashion Institute of Technology
in New York, and a Ph.D. from Yale. Dean Bruzelius teaches one class per semester,
usually in comparative literature, or in the English department or in film studies.
As a child, Dean Bruzelius lived in Brazil, Argentina,
Mexico and Puerto Rico. Before starting college she spent a year living in Copenhagen
as a weaver's apprentice. Her hobbies include knitting, thrift shopping, textiles
and clothes -- but not really fashion.
