A student may not drop
a course after the end of the fifth week of classes. However,
on two and only two occasions during her years at Smith College
-- once during her first year; once during any subsequent
year -- a student may drop a course at any time up to the
end of the ninth week of classes, for any reason, without
penalty. The drop form requires signatures of the instructor,
adviser and class dean and is only available in the Class
Deans Office, College Hall 101.
