Dean Tom Riddell

Tom Riddell is Dean of the First-Year Class and Associate Dean of the College. Dean Riddell has been a Class Dean since 1993. He holds a B.A. in Economics from Swarthmore College and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics from The American University, in Washington, D.C. Dean Riddell has taught one of the discussion sections in the IDP course 102, Thinking Through Race and taught a First-Year Seminar on the Northampton State Hospital.

Dean Riddell recently spent a year living in the U.K. He enjoys golfing, hiking, walking, photography, traveling, and spending time with his 10 grandchildren.

To meet with Dean Riddell you may stop by during his Walk-In Hours on Monday, 3:00-4:00 pm and Thursday, 1:30-3:00 pm, or you may contact his assistant at ext. 4910 to schedule an appointment during regular office hours, 8:30 am-4:30 pm
