Looking for a good-humored, considerate, and responsible individual to rent one bedroom in my fantastic three-bedroom apartment. Located on a quiet and safe block near Columbia University, the apartment is spacious and sunny with tons of prewar charm. The shared spaces include a fully equipped kitchen, a furnished living/dining room, and a good sized bathroom with claw foot shower/tub. The available bedroom is unfurnished and on the small side but will come with a full sized bed (if you want it). The building has an elevator and laundry in the basement. The neighborhood is great--the apartment is located just a few blocks from Riverside Park (jogging, tennis, biking, etc), very close to Columbia University, Barnard, and The Manhattan School of Music, near lots of restaurants and bars, and steps from the 1 train. It's an amazing part of the city to live in, especially if you like to get outside and enjoy the parks. The roommates are two easy going females in their early 20s. One works in publishing and the other is a social worker at a non profit. There are two pets: a sweet-natured cat and a very affectionate maltipoo pup. Unfortunately no more pets are allowed. The rent is $800 per month + utilities. No smokers or couples please. The move in date is ASAP and I will pro-rate the month of June. This could be for a short term or long term sublet. Thanks for your interest and I look forward to hearing from you. Please contact Jenna Komarin at jennakomarin@yahoo.com or 917.363.8936. (posted 6/1/09)
