(BTR) BTR is a rigorous, school-based urban teacher preparation program that is part of the aggressive strategy of the Boston Public Schools (BPS) to improve instruction in every classroom. The Boston Teacher Residency is actively recruiting talented
math/science/engineering majors who may be interested in teaching after graduation and would like to learn more about a successful alternative route to a career in teaching. We are an innovative urban teacher preparation program combining a masters degree with a full year of classroom teaching experience under the guidance of a veteran mentor teacher in one of our most effective public schools before placement with the Boston Public Schools.

During the 13-month program, Teacher Residents:

  • Earn a stipend of $11,400 and health benefits and are eligible for student loans and scholarships

BTR graduates:

  • Are guaranteed a full-time teaching position with the Boston Public Schools, the highest paying district in the state, at the masters level salary

  • Participate in our "loan forgiveness" program in which 1/3 of the $10K tuition for BTR is forgiven for each year of teaching in the BPS. Thus, graduates who commit to and complete 3 years of service owe nothing. Home-based Therapists
Home-based Therapist work 1:1 in family homes providing instruction to young children with autism or other developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include: Implementing skill acquisition and behavior reduction procedures, assisting with activities of daily living, participating in clinical meeting and team meetings, recording data and working with parents and staff to develop educational and family support plans.

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Special
Education, or a related field is required. A minimum of one
year experience working with children with developmental
disabilities and knowledge of ABA is preferred. Full-time
and part-time day, evening and weekend shifts are available.

Other details for all entry-level positions:
This position is considered applied research; Data is constantly collected and reviewed with a clinical team. This position offers many opportunities for publications and poster sessions. The May Institute offers $12K in tuition reimbursement.

We are helping to define the cutting edge in cell & molecular biology, as well as neuroscience, from the standpoint on documenting and sharing important ideas. Our business is global. We are interested in creative, ambitious people who want to experience ideas and action in the scientific community. Position Description
The Rockefeller University seeks Research Assistants to work
in one of our 75 laboratories. Qualified individuals will provide support to the laboratory in the completion of assigned experiments and (depending on the lab) assist in molecular biological, biochemical, immunological, genetic, neuroscience, and/or cell biological experiments. A team-oriented approach is used to conduct basic and human disease-related research.

Summer on the Cuyahoga (SOTC) is a unique summer internship program open to students of Case, Colgate, Cornell, Harvard, Princeton, Smith and Yale. The program brings together 75-90 students for an intensive summer immersion program designed to help interns explore the professional, civic, and social offerings of the Cleveland area. SOTC offers students challenging internships, community introductions, alumni connections, and group housing for the summer. Driven by a collaborative effort among local alumni volunteers of the respective institutions, SOTC has attracted recognition as an effective civic development initiative. In partnership with employers and community leaders, the program showcases the region's opportunities to the student participants.
