Community Partnerships
Colleges can positively contribute to local communities, and the CCC is committed to being a good neighbor and community member. We know that college-community partnerships not only sustain stronger communities and advance community goals, but also support and advance our goals as an educational institution. Community partnerships provide valuable opportunities for Smith students to learn with and from community members about the real-world implications of their academic studies, about their own values and passions, and about how to be active, responsible members of a community. For researchers, these relationships offer opportunities to collaborate with community organizations in the active generation—and application—of knowledge to benefit society.
