Facilities
The main Athletic Training Room is located in the basement of Scott Gym, which is on the same level as the 2nd floor of the main building (Ainsworth Gym). Enter Ainsworth Gym through the main doors. Take the elevator or stairs to 2nd floor. Cross over walkway to the left into the Scott Gym building. Take a right on the main hallway, and the first door on the left is to the Athletic Training Room.
The auxiliary Athletic Training Room is located at the athletic fields in the Field House. An area for taping, ice and hot packs are available at this site, but please call ahead so we can be sure it is available for you.
Services
Visiting teams for each sport will be provided with water and ice. Available emergency equipment includes crutches, vacuum splints, knee immobilizers, and an AED.
A certified athletic trainer will be available in the main athletic training room up to 2 hours before the start of a contest. For outdoor events, a certified athletic trainer will be available in the Field House athletic training room approximately 45 minutes prior to the start of the contest. The athletic training room at the site of the event will remain open for 30 minutes after the contest has ended.
Policies for Visiting Athletes Traveling without an ATC:
Athletes needing modalities must bring documentation from their physician or certified athletic trainer describing the requested treatment. Athletes must bring their own supplies (tape, wraps, etc.). For pre-contest services for outdoor sports, please call ahead to make the best arrangement for our staff to care for your athletes. We will not be available in the Field House AT Room or on the fields, courts, or track until 45 minutes before the start of the contest.
