Volleyball
Over the past 27 seasons Smith's volleyball program has compiled a record of 542-407 and earned a reputation as one of the top programs in New England. The Pioneers have made three appearances in the NCAA Division III National Championship and have gone on to post-season play 18 out of 27 years. In the last ten years, Smith has been ranked consistently in the top12 teams in the NCAA New England region. The Pioneers on the ECAC post-season championship in 1997 and in 2005, won the NEWMAC championship.

The Pioneers fell to Colby-Sawyer 3-1 in the quarterfinals of the ECAC New England Volleyball Championship last night in New London, NH and conclude their season with a 17-15 overall record.

Volleyball Falls to Coast Guard in NEWMAC Championship
The Pioneers fell to Coast Guard 3-0 last night in New London, Connecticut in quarterfinal action of the New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Volleyball Championship. With the loss, Smith fell to 17-14 while the Bears improved to 21-5 and advanced to the semifinals.

Smith Volleyball Defeats Wheaton 3-2
The Pioneers defeated Wheaton College in a come-from-behind 3-2 victory in New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) action this afternoon in Northampton. The win solidified Smith's 5th place in the NEWMAC standings and improved the team's overall record to 17-13 and conference record to 5-4. The loss dropped the Lyons (22-12, 4-5) to sixth place in the standings.

The Pioneers fell to New England Women and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Wellesley College 3-1 last night at Wellesley. With the win, the Blue improved to 23-6 overall and 7-1 in the conference while Smith fell to 16-13 overall and 4-4 in NEWMAC competition.

Smith Volleyball Finishes Hall of Fame Tournament 2-2
After beginning the weekend 0-2, the Pioneers used two strong performances Saturday to finish with a .500 record for the weekend, taking 13th place at the annual Hall of Fame Induction Tournament.

Smith Volleyball Defeats Clark 3-0
The Pioneers defeated New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) rival Clark University this evening 3-0. The victory improved Smith's overall record to 14-10 and 4-3 in conference competition while the Cougars fell to 5-15 overall and 1-6 in the NEWMAC.
