2007-08 Outlook
The 2007 team brought in a very talented first year class that added tremendous depth. The Pioneers finished fifth in the MacConnell Division and thereby qualified for the Eastern Collegiate Ski Conference (ECSC) Regional Championships. At Regionals, Smith finished fifth and qualified for the United States Collegiate Ski Association (USCSA) National Championships in Winter Park, Colorado and Lindsey MacNabb, Mikaela Martineau and Kara Munsey were named to the All-Eastern Conference team. At Nationals. the team finished sixth out of nineteen teams. There were several standout performances including Martineau's second place finish in the giant slalom and MacNabb's ninth place finish in slalom which earned them All-American honors. In addition, four Pioneers were named to the National Scholar Athlete team. With a returning veteran team and some very talented first year skiers, the Pioneers look forward to a successful 2008 season.
