| Lynn Hersey is in her third year as the basketball coach at Smith College. A 2000 graduate of Plymouth State University, Hersey received her Bachelor of Science degree with a major in Physical Education and minor in Health. She received her Master of Science Degree in Sports Management from the University of Massachusetts in 2003. At Plymouth State, Hersey was a standout basketball player who received the Panther Athletic Club Outstanding Female Athlete of the Year Award in 1999. Hersey began her coaching career as the assistant basketball coach at Amherst College in 2001 and served in that capacity until 2005 when she assumed the co-head position. During her stint at Amherst, she also served as assistant coach in the sports of softball and volleyball. |
