Five College Outdoor Festival - date tba
Date tba - Five College Outdoor Festival- This will be the eigth annual outdoor festival!   We will run shuttles to and from Smith Campus for the main events.  Please email us if you plan on coming.  All vans will leave from Sage Hall. Friday, February 27:  Majka Burhardt’s “Vertical Ethiopia” documents a climbing expedition to unexplored sandstone spires in northern Ethiopia.  7:30 pm, Free Amherst College’s Faverweather Hall, Pruyne Lecture Hall.  Date tba: The main day at Hampshire College will feature assorted workshops on a variety of outdoor activities taught by recreation professionals.  The main events are “try a kayak” paddling clinics from the pros at Zoar Outdoor, held from 9:30-4:30 p.m. in the pool at Hampshire’s RCC, and a fun climbing competition 1-4:30pm ($5 donation). All this will conclude at 7pm with the spectacular Telluride Mountain Film Tour (Franklin Patterson hall, FPH), a compilation of premier mountain, adventure, cultural and environmental film and video!  All of this is free for Smith Students and open to the public.  Email Smith outdoors if you need a ride!  Bring your smith ID for free tickets.
