Tufts Defeats Williams For Volleyball Hall of Fame Tournament Title

Northampton, MA: The Jumbos of Tufts University swept Williams College today in three straight sets to take the 2009 Volleyball Hall of Fame Tournament title (25-20, 25-21, 25-19).

Tournament MVP senior Dena Feiger (Long Grove, IL) led Tufts with 13 digs, 45 assists and one service ace.  Sophomore Audrey Kuan (Los Altos, CA) registered 21 digs; Caitlin Updike (Manhattan Beach, CA) tallied 13 kills with two service aces while D. Joyce-Mendive (Minden, NV) had 15 kills.  Andrea Scioscia (Gibsonia, PA) had 19 digs, Haley Eagon (Roseville, MN) 29 assists and Kate Anderson (Berlin, MA) 11 kills in the loss for Williams. In the silver bracket Middelbury defeated Bowdoin, 3-2.
