Anna Baeth Joins Smith

Northampton, MA: Anna Baeth, a 2009 graduate of Swarthmore College, has joined the Smith College field hockey coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach.

Baeth received her BA in Sociology/Anthropology with a minor in Education.  A four-year member of both the field hockey and lacrosse teams while at Swarthmore, she served as captain to the field hockey team her junior and senior seasons and received All Centennial Conference second team honors in 2006 and 2007.  She has coached numerous camps over the past three summers. "We are lucky to have Anna join our coaching staff.  She is a talented player with great insight and the ability to connect and push the team.  Her knowledge and energy are going to help us be the competitive program we are working towards", stated coach Jaime Ginsberg.

Baeth, who has enrolled in the Masters porgram in Exercise and Sport Studies with an emphasis on coaching, is due to receive her M.S. in May, 2012.
