Volleyball Athletes Receive Post Season Honors

Northampton, MA: Mikal Minarich (Hobart, IN) was selected to the 2008 NEWMAC All Conference Volleyball Second Team while Brianne Connizzo (Demarest, NJ) was named to the NEWMAC Academic All Conference Team.

Outside hitter Minarich was selected to the all conference second team for the second consecutive year.  She led the Pioneers in kills (222) and total blocks (82) and was second in digs with 224.  Connizzo was honored with having met the criteria for selection to the Academic All Conference Team.  She had a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher after the 2008 spring semester, had achieved second year academic status and been a member of the volleyball team the entire season.
