Squash Competes at Wesleyan Invitational

Northampton, MA: The Pioneers faced George Washington University and Connecticut College today at the Wesleyan Invitational. Smith had its best performance of the round robin tournament against Connecticut College.

First year Catie Blunt (Needham, MA) won her match at number eight, 3-0.  In her first year of squash, Ella Hartenian (Arlington, MA) almost won her first mach losing 10-8 in the fifth game.   Sophomores Meg Oliverio (Boston, MA) and Jasmine Wallas (Nassau, Bahamas) came close to taking their opponents down to the wire with Oliverio losing in four and Wallas almost taking the third, losing 10-8.  Smith travels to Amherst on Monday, December 8 for a 7 pm contest.
