Softball Drops 2 Games to Babson in Doubleheader

Northampton, MA: The Smith College softball team fell to Babson College 8-0 and 3-0 in a New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference doubleheader this afternoon in Babson Park, MA.

Babson College came out strong scoring one in the first, six in the second, and one in the third as the Beavers took the first game 8-0 in five innings. Erin Quinn '09 (Northbrook, IL), Sarah Goodman (Pitssford, NY), and senior co-captain Crystal Fryer (Louisville, KY) each picked up a hit for Smith in the first game against Babson.

Babson started off the second game 2-0 in the bottom of the first with Morgan Sprague batting in two runners on a double. The Beavers would eventually make it 3-0 to go 2-0 on the day. Quinn recorded another hit for Smith in the second game.

Danielle Liska '10 (Seymour, CT) earned both wins for Babson from the mound.
