Soccer Athletes Receive Post-Season Honors

Northampton, MA: Etta Grover-Silva (Arcata, CA) was named to the 2008 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) All Conference Second Team while Bryce Bludevich (Colchester, VT), Ella Hartenian (Arlington, MA) and Elizabeth Isenstein (Deerfield, MA) were named to the NEWMAC Academic All Conference Team.

Defender/midfielder Grover-Silva made her second consecutive appearance on the NEWMAC All Conference second team.  She led the Pioneers in scoring with four goals and scored the game winner in both of Smith's victories this season.

Bludevich, Hartenian and Isenstein were honored with having met the criteria for selection to the Academic All Conference team.  Each of them had a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher after the 2008 spring semester, had achieved second year academic status and been a member of the soccer team the entire season.
