Smith Skier Coffin Qualifies for USCSA Nationals

Northampton, MA: Emma Peck Coffin's '12 (Carrabassett Valley, ME) 5th-place performance this weekend in the Slalom and Giant Slalom at the Eastern Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Conference (ECSC) Regionals qualifies her for the United States Collegiate Ski and Snowboard Association (USCSA) Nationals at Winter Park, CO on March 3-7.

On Saturday, Coffin placed 6th out of 69 racers in the slalom with a total time of 1:42.52. In the Giant Slalom on Sunday Coffin finished 7th out of 69 racers with a total time of 2:20.97. Her combined 5th place finish earned her All-Conference first team honors as well as the opportunity to race at the USCSA Nationals.  

Coffin will next race at the NCAA-EISA Regionals to be held at Sugarloaf, Maine on February 27-28 in a carnival hosted by Colby College.
