Skiing Places 6th in Giant Slalom at Brown University Carnival

Northampton, MA: The Smith College ski team placed 6th overall in the giant slalom at the Brown University Carnival held at Wildcat Mountain, NH.

First-year Emma Peck Coffin (Carrabassett Valley, ME) finished 4th with an overall time of 2:01.86. Kara Munsey '10 (Burn Hills, NY) and Katherine von Herman '11 (Piedmont, CA) followed Coffin placing 18th and 19th with times of 2:05.30 and 2:05.39 respectively.

The team competes again today at Wildcat in the slalom race.
