Smith Skiing Takes 5th at UMass Carnival

Northampton, MA: The Ski team finished 5th in slalom at the UMass Carnival held at Pat's Peak, New Hampshire on Sunday. The fifth place finish was an improvement from the team's sixth place finish on Saturday.

Junior Kara Munsey (Burnt Hills, NY) finished 8th, first year Emma Peck Coffin (Carrabasett Valley, ME) finished 20th, sophomore Katherine von Hermann (Piedmont, CA) placed 23rd, senior Kate Lofgren (Denver, CO) placed 54th and sophomore Rebecca Houran (Laconia, NH) rounded it out at 58th.

The Ski team completes its regular season next Friday and Saturday at the Boston College Carnival held at Wildcat, New Hampshire.
