Smith Skiing Takes 6th Place in Giant Slalom

Northampton, MA: In the second day of the Plymouth State Carnival the Pioneers finished 6th in the giant slalom race held at Waterville Valley, NH. Leading the way for Smith was first year Emma Peck Coffin (Carrabasett Valley, ME) who finished 6th overall.

Additionally, junior Kara Munsey (Burnt Hills, NY) finished 20th, sophomore Katharine von Herrmann (Piedmont, CA) 33rd, senior Kate Lofgen (Denver, CO) 41st, and sophomore Rebecca Houran (Laconia, NH) 50th. With these results the Pioneers remain in 6th place overall in the MacConnell division standings.

Smith returns to action next weekend with races at Loon, NH and Pat's Peak, NH.
